These basic structures are the most common structures children will see in emergent reading books as well as in spoken language. Some basic structure sentences begin with; here is a ..., look at the..., I like my..., this is a ..., I am an..., I am a... etc.
Build children's reading skills by ensuring their sentence makes sense by using cues.
Children can work in pairs to read and complete the sentence correctly.
Each sentence is divided into 2 pieces ready to be cut and each piece has a picture to encourage children to use picture cues.
