This set of 45 very basic subtraction worksheets is ideal for kindergarten students or for struggling first-graders. Each worksheet page has only 3-6 subtraction questions. The numbers incorporate counting-points to aid in the subtraction process. Additionally, most pages include pictures for the students to use to calculate the difference. Number-lines are also provided on most pages.
In order to use the counting points, students must be familiar with counting backward. Counting backward practice is included on the pages at the beginning of the package. If your students do not use counting points, these worksheets will still be accessible to them via the pictures and number-lines.
These sheets have been successful in helping struggling students who get overwhelmed with worksheet pages that have too many questions on them.
I have also included directions for use, as well as counting point number cards to use to teach students how to use counting points, as well as to create interactive subtraction questions.
If you have any questions, please ask me in the "ask a question" tab.
