This activity gets your students up and moving. After taking a few minutes to shoot, and hopefully make, some baskets students collect the data of shots made and shots missed. After the data has been collected students convert the information into fractions, decimals, and percents. Students graph the students percentages and participate in reflective writing. This engaging activity is perfect for March Madness or any time of the year. Grab some basketballs, and head outside for MATH!
My class had a great time shooting baskets and finding out how their skills stacked up with the rest of the class. Great activity for a Friday afternoon!
