This basketball-themed memory game practices 2 digit addition and subtraction (no regrouping).- CCSS 2.NBT.5
Game Set Up:
-Place all cards face down. You may choose to separate the number sentence cards from the answer cards or mix them all together.
-Place a basketball-themed Easter basket and small ball at an appropriate distance from the cards (to be used when a match is made). Both of these items can be purchased at the dollar store. You can also use a plastic bucket or waste-basket and a balled up piece of paper.
Game Directions:
-Take turns flipping over 2 cards at a time, trying to match the number sentence to the answer.
-If a match is made, the player sets the cards aside and gets 2 chances to score a goal.
-If a goal is made, a point is added to that player's side of the scoreboard. If a goal is not made, the point is not rewarded but the matched cards are still set aside.
-Play continues with player 2.
-The winner is the player with the most points after all the matches have been made.

Thank you so much for sharing this! I went out at Easter and bought the basketball shaped basket so I could play this with my students. You are awesome!
So cute! What a fun way to practice facts! My kiddos, especially my very competitive little guys, are going to LOVE this! Thanks so much for sharing.
