Beach Math and Literacy Activities Aligned to Common Core

This packet is 159 pages of beach fun! This packet is a perfect way to review essential reading and math skills. All activities in this packet are aligned to the Common Core Standards. Most of the activities are available in color AND black and white!

At Sea Addition -- K.OA. 1 Represent addition and subtraction with objects, fingers, mental images, drawings, sounds (e.g., claps), acting out situations, verbal explanations, expressions, or equations

By the Sea Spin and Graph -- K.MD.3. Classify objects into given categories; count the numbers of objects in each category and sort the categories by count.

Pails of Ten Frame Fun -- K.CC.5. Count to answer how many? questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array

Base Ten Beach -- K.NBT.1. Compose and decompose numbers from 11 to 19 into ten ones

Clip the Initial Consonant -- RF.K.3 Demonstrate basic knowledge of letter-sound correspondences by producing the primary or most frequent sound for each consonant.

Sandy Syllables -- RF.K.2 Count, pronounce, blend, and segment syllables in spoken words

Sound Count -- RF.K.2 Isolate and pronounce the initial, medial vowel, and final sounds in three-phoneme words
