Beach theme: illustrated vocabulary/stimulus pictures/reading writing resource

This PowerPoint by JF Birks Hunt contains 30 beautiful full colour photographs of the beach accompanied by basic vocabulary. Each photograph is labelled with suitable vocabulary but this can be adapted to suit the needs of your students and to overcome differences between US and UK spelling or vocabulary.
It is perfect for introducing a theme or unit of work on "The Beach", or "Summer Holidays/Vacation" in your K-3 classroom.
Slides can be used in many ways:
• They can be projected as a complete PowerPoint or individual slides can be hidden if not required.
• Individual slides can be printed off one or more to a page (depending on your printer capabilities),
• They can be displayed around the classroom or used by individuals or groups, to encourage students to use the words in their writing, speaking and other theme activities.
