Beat THAT! was a great hit with my 2nd and 1st grade students!
This activity helps children grasp the concept of place value and greater than/less than. Children work (play) with a partner using a deck of standard playing cards to create the greatest number possible. This activity comes with place value mats for 3 different skill levels: thousands, hundreds, and tens. The easy-to-read directions for play are printed on the Beat THAT! Place Value mats.
The FREE PREVIEW download shows only the thousands place value mat. The other mats are the same with the exception of having hundreds or tens instead of thousands. The full activity comes with all 3. (Playing cards not included)
