This zipped file contains 3 versions of a final test for the novel "Because of Winn-Dixie" by Kate DiCamillo and an answer key. The different versions of the test differ in difficulty and can be used for differentiation in the classroom or for retests when students do not master the test the first time. Form A contains 20 questions in 4 sections: matching (match a description with a character), fill-in-the-blank (identify a character based on a quote), sequencing (identify the event that happened first and an event which never occurred), and short answer (students must write a complete sentence in response to a question about the character of Winn-Dixie). Form B of the test includes 20 questions in 3 sections: matching (the same 5 questions as in Form A), multiple choice (10 fact based questions with 3 answer choices each), and a section in which students must decide which of 3 events never happened in the book. Form C includes 15 questions in 2 sections: 10 fact-based multiple choice questions with 2 answer choices each and a section in which students must decide which of 2 events occurred in the book. Each version of the test has been successfully completed by students with special needs.
