This Power Point is something I use to go over procedures in the classroom the first few days for school. I don't go through it all at one time, but slowly work through it to make sure I covered everything. There are 45 slides involving procedures - Covering things like breakfast, being late, agenda notebooks, classroom hand signals, asking questions, restroom, water fountain, pencils, paper, walking in line, media center, classroom library, homework, and a ton of other classroom related procedures. Each slide has at least two graphics - Some have up to six. The font I used may not be compatible with your fonts on Word so it may take a little formatting adjustment. Of course your procedures won't be identical to mine, but it gives you a template to add, change or delete to your needs - This will save you a TON of time!
Great editable resource! Save a big job for the beginning of the year, easy to refer to throughout. Thank you.

Easy to use and modify to own needs but great way to get the year started. Expectations are clearly set and students will be able to understand them clearly.

THANKS for sharing this! What a time-saver. It helped me think of some things I might have overlooked that I need to tell those students early in the year.
I am a new fourth grade teacher and this PPT is such a great help as I gather ideas for my own beginning of the year presentation. I LOVE the slide about the class being a family!!!
Heart2dance - I LOVE fourth grade kiddos and teaching them that they are a 'family' will make your year easiler and more enjoyable. If you would like the template for the power point I can send it to you directly. I didn't post the file that could be changed because the font I used isn't a common one. Let me know! = )

Hi 24-7 Teacher! I recently gave feedback on this PPT and you mentioned that you would send me the actual Powerpoint directly. I was wondering if you would please send the file whenever you got a chance. I'm not sure if my email shows up on TPT but if not you can send it to my school email at cmilton@barackobamacharter.org! Thanks soooo much!!!
P.S....This will be my first year teaching fourth grade and I was wondering if you had any tips/pointers about teaching the grade level and/or things to expect. All I know is that in CA (Where I teach) fourth graders take the State Writing Exam so writing will have to be a heavy emhasis in the class.
I'm sending it now! Some of the font may me different if you don't have all same types as me – You’ll just need to reformat some things.
I LOVE fourth grade! The writing exam is stressful, but your district should have some support on how they want it taught. I'm in Florida and I know the way we teach writing is a little different than some states. We have a writer's workshop model that includes a read aloud from another author (5-10 minutes), teacher model (5-10 minutes), independent writing (35-40 minutes) and finally student share (5 minutes).
