The problem with Jeopardy is that one team is answering questions while the others just watch (hopefully theyre at least watching). This 25 question, 5 team game offers many advantages. First, all teams answer all questions. Teams take turns selecting questions and the team selecting has the opportunity to gain or lose double points. Speaking of points, forget the standard Jeopardy format and check out this new point format. Dont like it? No problem, because its designed to be easily changed to what ever you desire. Did I mention that scoring is updated automatically and displayed at the top of the screen? No more Double Jeopardy, instead two questions can earn the team five times the stated value. If two doesnt work for you, its easy to change. A final question gives the lagging teams one last chance to win.
Complete instructions for entering your questions and playing the game are included. The sample version is fully operational, so download it now and give it a try. This program works in Excel 97 or higher and requires that security levels be set to allow macros.

I have not had too much experience with a Smartboard. I did use an ActivBoard in my class. The game uses Excel but of course would be projected on the Smartboard or ActivBoard. If I remember correctly, I could use the ActivPen to select the buttons at the board. However, I always found it better to have a student run the game from the computer rather than at the board. It should be easy for you to test. Download the sample copy of the game or the free Name Picker and try it. I'm retired, so I no longer have an easy way to test it myself. But I will contact a colleague and ask them to do a test. I hope this helps, if not contact me at dpinkley@gmail.com for further assistance.
