This 16 question video guide with teacher key goes along with the Bill Nye Climates video or DVD. It covers movement of the moisture in the atmosphere, condensation, reason for temperature differences at the poles and the equator, types of climates such as Tundra, Taiga, Temperate deciduous forest, Temperate coniferous forest, Temperate rain forest, Tropical rain forests, Mediterranean, Grassland, Prairies, Savannahs, Steppes, and Deserts, Global Warming, and El Nino. This could easily be used in a biology, life science, ecology, environmental, or general science classroom. You will need to have the video or DVD in order to use this product.
I think this, along with Bill Nye's Pollution Solutions, would be an excellent alternative to "An Inconvenient Truth" for younger grades.
Having students take notes during a video increases their retention from the video and gives them something to take home and study. Through creating fill-in-the-blank video note guides, students can get comprehensive notes to take home while having enough time to both appreciate the video and get the notes.
