This is a 13 question worksheet to be used when viewing the Bill Nye The Science Guy video entitled The Planets. The questions are in order and there is a very thorough answer key provided. There is also a TRY IT section that give the sizes and distances needed to make a SCALE model of the solar system. These worksheets can actually be passed out to students to fill out individually, or you can simply use it for discussion after the video.
If you aren't familiar with Bill Nye, I highly recommend it. Your kids will love it. Videos can be purchased online at

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have taught for 12 years in a school with a very diverse population. My inclusion classrooms include special education students who perform academically as low as 1st or 2nd grade. My enriched classes have students with college reading levels and some that are taking Math classes with 7th and 8th grade. Having lessons and activities that can be adapted to varying ability levels is critical.
