I place these labels on the baskets where the students books are placed.
The colors corrospond with my reading groups.
Green- Below grade level
Yellow- On grade level
Blue- Above grade level
There are also labels with either green and yellow or yellow and blue.
These books fall in between.
The children choose 5 books each Monday. It is based on the flexible grouping they are in for the week. They may choose 5 just right books (books that have the color dot of the group they are in) and one just for fun (one book that does not have their color dot)
There are also baskets that are labeled with all three dots- these are the books that everyone can get at anytime.
Be sure to get the book stickers as well- they are on a separate listing.
