This is a template for a lapbook to be completed during a unit on biographies. A lapbook is a convenient and fun way to bring together a set of information. It is made simply by opening a file folder and folding each edge to the center of the folder, creating double doors that open to the inside of the folder. Inside the lapbook is a series of simple foldables where students write facts on a person.
This template is based on the people studied throughout the second grade curriculum in one district in Texas, but it can be modified to cover whatever material you study. Each shape is to be cut out in its entirety and then folded on the center line to create a booklet. The picture and name are glued on the outside, the booklet is glued into the lapbook, and the students write the information on the inside. The next page shows how I glued them into the lapbook.
As a bonus, each mini foldable for the inside is a different geometric shape, so you could also review shapes as you are compiling the biography information.

HI Rachel-
Love your lapbook idea! Where is the pic that will show me how/where to glue everything down? I downloaded the product but can't find the pic.
