I needed a place to for my students to record the information they were learning as they read independently. They found so much good information and loved sharing it, but had no place to put it as they learned it. After they fill out the Read for Information page they can do the Have Can Are page to prepare them for their writing. I have included some writing pages as well. I love that this gives my students a specific purpose for reading and an easy way to organize their thoughts.
I have also included a birdhouse building project idea, along with a "How to Build a Birdhouse" page. There is also a page for your students to write a letter to the bird family that will live in their birdhouse.
