Kindergarten and first grade students can strengthen their emergent reading and writing skills with these cute party animals. This book contains a repetitive text pattern and cute clip art to engage young readers. Two versions are included in this download:
A. An emergent reader mini-book to print and fold. Great for guided reading.
B. An emergent reader with words on each page left out for students to write themselves. Great for use in a literacy station.
Hi there, thanks for the freebie. I have just printed off the reader and it will certainly come in handy. I have also pinned this resource to my Pinterest board; 'Free Reading Resources TpT' on my Pinterest page; http://pinterest.com/cleverclassroom/free-reading-resources-tpt/
If you would like me to remove it or you are interested in providing some more items for me to pin, please contact me via my store; http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Clever-Classroom
Thanks again for the fab freebie.
Regards,
Emma

Cute! I am using the color pages as matching cards so that the kids can copy the animal names into the blanks.

Hi Donna,
I was reading your blog and found out about the Christmas in July big sale. I came to your TPT page to add some items to my wishlist like you suggested (good idea). I saw the b-day emergent reader that you have posted as a free download and it reminded me to check my personal email to see if I had received your bday packet; the one you were giving away as a freebie for following your blog. I haven't... I posted a message saying that I do not have a blog, but was going to alert my teachers friend of your wonderful blog filled with great ideas. I do not know if you "missed" my post or have not had time...anyway just wanted to know if it was still available...I would love to use the birthday ideas in my classroom. My email is: bettyostone@aol.com
Thank you very much
