My kids love the songs. So far we have about 4 of your songs down and we sing them in the halls. When we walked down the hall singing Blends are Letter Friends the upper grades could not believe that we are only prek. Thank you for a great product and an awesome learning tool.

Awesome! My students make up all kind of square dances and MOVES to go with this one. After they get this one down, give them a homework assignment. Ask them to think and write down as many words that they can that have blends. I did this last year and was completely overwhelmed at the participation level. I lists and papers coming in everyday. And some of the older brothers and sisters started helping too. We charted all of our words with blends into a very long list. Thanks for leaving feedback:) Happy singing!

My students love to do a modified square dance when we do this song. Plus they shout out words that start with that blends. For example, Bl says "bl" blue. We all try to say different words than each other and then it becomes quite competitive to think of new words our friends won't say. Happy singing the letter blends:)

Thanks Kelly! I am so glad you are enjoying them and hope they help your students as much as they help mine. We sang this song today and made up a new dance for it and a new challenge. My kiddos are so creative, and I follow their lead. We did a "crossing the mid-line dance" that they created and then played a new game. Today's game was to get together with a friend while we were singing it and see if they could say a different word than their friend when they sang the "blends sounds." They really had to step it up and think outside the box. We were laughing so much by the time it was over and had many new blend words. I am so glad learning can be fun. We did a survey and math graph today of our favorite song from "Growing Dendrites with Kathy Griffin." Blends are Letter Friends is in a tie with the Outlaw Words. Those 2 consistently remain in their top five favorites. Happy reading

We did this song today and instead of our traditional circle square dance, we walked backwards around the circle while singing and lassoing the blends. Isn't amazing how a small change in novelty can get the brain going. They were shouting out words with letter blends like crazy. Of course, I don't walk backwards as well as they do:) Have fun and thank you for leaving feedback. It covers 34 blends and is Quick Time file. I will have to tea search whether it will work on that. Check back at the end of the day and I will post what I find out. I don't own a digital frame. Great question. It is a multimedia file which has music.
