This is a wonderful Word Study packet that can be used in the Spring or all year along. It is a wonderful addition to add to your literacy centers. A variety of hands-on Word Study activities will engage children with the bright colors. This packet is jam packed with words, words, words, and MORE words! In this packet you will find rhyming words, compound words, nouns, verbs, adjectives, the 3 sounds of -ed, short vowel and magic e sort, real and non-sense words and isolating the initial, medial and final sounds in a word. You can even bring in inferring!
All of the games (except Butterfly Cover-Up) include a color and a black and white recording sheet. Here are the games included:
Butterfly Flutterfly Rhymes We Spy- 10 rhyming pairs...20 words total
Butterfly Cover-Up- 6 game boards and inferring riddle rhymes
Butterfly Read and Rhyme- read the room activity
Butterfly Treats- sorting compound words (30 words)
Capturing Words- noun, verb, and adjective sort (30 words)
Butterfly Endings- sorting the 3 different sounds of -ed (36 words)
Butterfly Letter Hunt- hunting for initial, medial, and final sounds (30 words)
Sound Sorters- sorting short vowel or magic e (30 words)
Butterfly Believers- sorting real or non-sense words (40 words)
