If you want book clubs to function well in your classroom, then you have to make sure the kids in each club:
a) read at the same level
b) GET ALONG!!!
Give your students this questionnaire prior to launching book clubs. You might discover that there are friendships you didn't know about, which may or may not work in a club situation.
