Here is a book report rubric and an example book report for both the teacher and the students to view. It's designed in such a way that it is self-explanatory and even parent friendly! It teaches children that a book report is not simply a re-telling of the story, but a systematic examination of narrative elements and personal reflection. Created by Rhonda Jewell
I liked the organizer...am looking more for a rubric which states what makes each part of the report get full credit and what makes partial credit...but this helps me get started. thanks

I've taught 4th grade (all subjects) for nine years and sixth grade (English Language Arts) for two years as well as 3rd and 5th grade summer school for five years. As of the end of the 2010-2011 school year, I have a total of ten years teaching experience. The age group and content I teach are both VERY exciting as they provide me personal and professional growth opportunities while building relationships. Rewarding.
