This booklet will print back to back on two sheets to make an 8 page booklet that will make any mom melt. The children finish off sentences such as "My mom is proud of me because...," "My mom is special because...," and "The best thing about my mother is...". Then they illustrate their sentences for their mother.
When I do this activity with my students, we spend a good amount of time talking about moms and why they are so special. Then I brainstorm a word bank for the children to use when describing their moms for the booklet.
This book makes a nice gift alone, or accompanied by something else.
