On  December 7, 2013,  Buyer asked:
I really want to do these experiments, but I need a little clarification since I don't drink tea. What is "loose tea"? Are you putting tea bags in the water or is loose tea something different? Also, I would love to know the specific kind of tea you used and would recommend for the best results since I know there are lots of kinds out there.

On  December 8, 2013Smart Chick answered:
I used an assortment of tea based on what I could find at the grocery store. I made sure to have English tea as one of them. The loose tea simply comes from opening the tea bag and shaking out the tea into the water.
On  December 12, 2010Teresa King (TpT Seller) asked:
How much salt did you use in the Boston Tea Party experiment?

On  December 12, 2010Smart Chick answered:
We super-saturated the water with salt (as much as it could hold).

On  March 1, 2010,  Buyer asked:
What is the purpose of this experiment? We could not find enough information in the downloaded version to make sense of the experiment. What are you trying to demonstrate or prove?
Teachers Pay Teachers
On  March 1, 2010Smart Chick answered:
We wondered what happened to the tea when it was dumped into the harbor during the historical event. Students connected what they observed in the two labs to making an inference about what happened to the tea when it was in the water. The first lab is to see the difference between salt and fresh water and the second lab tested the different temperatures of water. Knowing that during the actual Boston Tea Party, it was salt water and it was cold, students then made conclusions based on their observations.
