I use this assignment with my Technical Writing students. They have to create a fake business, and then create a professional looking brochure to try to attract new customers. Includes rubric. We use Microsoft Publisher, but it will work with several different programs, including Word. This assignment would also work with a business class or with graphic design students.

I have worked with a number of grades, between the regular school year and summer school, including 6th - 12th grade. I originally started with an elementary background, and so I have some elementary materials as well. For the past few years, I moved up to higher education, teaching at a community college.
