This is an observation journal designed to be used with a class pet betta fish as part of a study on fish or living things.
Since this is a life science activity, I intentionally did not use cutsie clip art, but chose realistic photos and illustrations instead.
I created this packet for use with my 1st graders, but it can easily be used in 2nd as well. I've included detailed instructions (with photos!) to show how to create a flip book from lunch bags.
There are five science activity sheets with child friendly directions for students to complete and glue into their science logs. Each activity is designed to last between 15-20 minutes, perfect for short attention spans.
I've added a cover for the journal and a grading rubric for the back page. Finally, I'm also including a blank page for you to use as needed.
To see how I use brown bag flip books in my classroom, please visit my blog, www.crayonsinthecity.blogspot.com.
Please check my store because I have brown bag flip books for other science topics as well.
Some of the pages are for sure. You might not be able to use the grading rubric though bc I assume my students are doing the pages independently and for kindergarten I would do the activity with the students.
