I use this for a functional group of elementary-aged students. They love the brown bear book, so I thought this might be a good set of activities for them. I have already used these materials for lessons on: listening skills, following directions, description skills and vocabulary building. Even better - I still am making my way through the packet, so there are still more activities to come. With this group, it's easy to get into a rut of activities and these students do so much better when I can mix things up a bit. The Brown Bear packet has been really great for them. Even though we've been working on these activities for a few weeks, they aren't bored yet, and still are ready for more. I like that the activities were created by an SLP who works in the schools. The activities are just right for their level, and can easily be modified. The students are motivated by the cute pictures of the animals and the tie in to the Brown Bear book. I don't purchase a lot of materials (because a limited budget - mainly I'm using my own money!), but I would buy this one again.

Thanks! Your literacy packs are always so great with loads of activities!
Use great literature to work on early concepts. The only areas I found not so practical were the concepts since some had the same picture and targeted a synonym concept (e.g. off, out), so there was no way to differentiate.

Please, please, please keep developing these types of units. Purchasing ALL of these activities through a company would be very costly and my small school budget will not allow it. I would love to have see preschool units for: The Very Busy Spider; In the Tall, Tall Grass; The Little Red Hen; Rosie's Walk; etc. I am glad I found your blog and your TPT store.

We have a large speech department at our ISD, and an extensive library of materials that we can check out as needed. If we would like to put together your literature based units for our SLPs to borrow, how would we handle that with your licensing? We would be making one kit to share.
