Teach your students what it is like to live in the "Real World" financially with this excellent Budget Project. This project has evolved over the last 10 years and is very involved.
Students use many resources including the internet, advertisements, and even parents to help them find the information they need to complete this project.
Some (but not nearly all) of the topics budgeted for include: Rent, Cars, Student Loans, Medical, Clothing, Utilities,Food, Retirement, Insurance, and College Loan expenses.
This is a challenging but extremely informative project that becomes a real eye opener for students and a favorite among parents!
Excellent project. Made some adjustments for my students as needed, but I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Well worth it and a wonderful addition to my Consumer Ed class!

Good project. Adjustments had to be made to include more guidance for my students (and I changed the spreadsheet to help them as well)

Does your project have students choose their income level, marital status, chldren etc.? Would this be appropriate for urban ninth/tenth grade students? Thanks!
