This is a fun CVC word family game that can be played in a small group. Perfect for Spring time or to use with an Insect theme, this game is lots of fun and gives your students great reinforcement of short vowel CVC words!
Included are 112 cards for 22 word familes! The following word families are included:
-ag, -an, -ap, -at
-ed, -eg, -en, -et
-id, -ig, -in, -ip, -it
-ob, -od, -og, -op, -ot
-ub, -ug, -um, -un
There are also 8 specialty cards to enhance the game play fun!
Simply cut out and arrange cards in a pile or in a can. Students take turns choosing a card and reading it. If they read it correctly they keep the card. Play passes around the table, with students discarding cards that they cannot read. This discard pile is a great way for you to see which words your students need to work on!
When someone gets the "Game Over" card the game is over and everyone counts up their cards to see who won!
