Just in time for March Madness!
Piece together "broken" sight words in this basketball-themed center game.
The object of the game:
Students will combine "broken" word pieces to make as many sight words as possible, then they'll write the words on score sheets. They can make 2 points for each word they build. If they use the word in a sentence, they can make 3 points.
How to win:
Once a player fills up a recording sheet, the game is over. The player with the most points is the winner.
You could also do this as a 1-player game, or have students work in teams to see how many words they can build in a set amount of time.

Really cute game and great practice but the download doesn't show the words in the game. The words just appear as black boxes. I downloaded it on my macbook at home. I have never had trouble before. Several of you other games look fine.

Oh gosh, I don't know how I missed this. I'm so sorry I didn't answer this sooner. Try this: Download the latest version of Adobe Reader. If you are on a Mac, do not open with Preview. It will not work. Download the most updated version of Adobe Reader and open the PDF with it (and not Preview). If you still have problems, email me at erinfw@ihmail.com or respond again here. I believe that will do the trick though. Thanks so much!

Apparently this is a common Mac/PC issue. You just need to update your Adobe Reader. If you are on a Mac, do not open with Preview. It will not work. Download the most updated version of Adobe Reader and open the PDF with it (and not Preview). Thanks for downloading!

I have 10 years of teaching experience in the elementary grades, and 8 years as a parent. I'm passionate about creating products that combine what I know about education from both perspectives.
