In the begining of the school year, executing a zero tolerance bullying unit will help your students understand expectations for treating other people. By reading Stargirl (or another novel) as a class, and dividing the students into literature circles with other bully themed novels, students will be receving a double dip opportunity to learn about bullying prevention, and even lend a hand in setting the environment for how your school handles bullying.
