These addition and subtraction triangle flash cards include all fact families 1-18. Instead of learning addition and subtraction facts in isolation, the cards allow them to visualize 4 fact families and two operations as a whole unit.
Included in this packet you’ll find:
-4 versions of a recording sheet (great for accountability at centers...you could also program the cards with target families and use as homework or classwork)
-2 larger recording sheets for small group work - I recommend laminating or inserting them into page protectors and using dry erase markers
-1 page of blank color candy corn cards and 1 page of blank ink-saving blackline cards designed for you want to manually record target facts as needed for individual students
-20 printable pages (6 cards each) of full-colored triangular fact family cards (0-18 facts)
-20 printable pages (6 cards each) of ink-saving black and white triangular fact family cards (0-18 facts)
IDEAS:
Allow the children to use real candy corns as manipulatives to model the equations
Print 2 sets and use them as a matching / memory game.
Cut the corner off an envelope and use it to cover one of the numbers on the card. Have the students identify the missing number.

Over the years I have worked my way up from Preschool to Kindergarten to 1st, 2nd and 3rd. I've been in third grade for 6 years and simply adore teaching this age. My experiences have included inner-city and neighborhood schools in the suburbs. I've loved both for different reasons.
