This powerpoint is intended for professional development. It is to help launch the CCGPS initiative in schools in Georgia. It is split into two sessions, k-2 and 3-5. The participants will learn how to breakdown the rigor of the CCGPS and recognize the continuum between standards in grade levels. They will also learn an effective way to pace. The last part is a Math Framework teaching recap for teachers to realize the effectiveness of presenting learning tasks as student centered learning opportunities. Management hints will also be touched on.

My first year of teaching was in 2000 in first grade. I them taught kindergarten for 5 years, EIP k-5 reading and math for 1 year, second grade for 2 years, and academic coach for a title school for 2 years. I am currently teaching first grade and loving it!
