The task is to create a city map and write a description in paragraph form. Prior to introducing this two part project, we have identified and pronounced places in city vocab.
First part of project students create a fictitious city drawing and labeling places in city. The students create visuals to show comprehension of the places in city vocab, eliminating English translation. Second part of project, students use map to write about location and physical descriptions. Scoring guides are included for both the map and for the writing assignment. Students are assessed on grammar (ser vs estar) as well as basic writing skills.
