This is an assignment meant to give French 1 students a creative way to review masculine and feminine forms of adjectives as well as position of adjectives. Students are asked to design two labels, one for a woman's perfume and one for a man's cologne. Students create the names of the products as well as phrases to describe the kinds of people the products will appeal to. To do this, they are given a long list of nouns and adjectives that they can combine any (grammatically correct) way they want. Lots of fun for everyone!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I am a retired language teacher with 30 years of experience teaching French and ESL at the high school level. I helped to create the ESL program at our school when it became clear in the mid 1990's that our immigrant student population was growing very quickly , and we had no plan for how to educate them effectively. While I loved teaching French, teaching ESL was my passion! I taught everything from grammar to reading and usually found myself creating all my own materials as there was very little to choose from in the first several years of our program.
