Help students learn to read common CVC words with this fun game. Simply print, laminate, and cut out the cards. Place the cards face down in a basket. Students take turns pulling out the cards, saying the sounds, and reading the words. If they are able to read the word correctly, they get to keep the card. There are even special cards which allow you another turn...But be careful, there are cards that will make you put all of your cards back! The player with the most cards at the end of the game wins!

I have the long vowels game bundle from readingresource.net & was just about to make a CVC version & then I found this...for free!! Thanks! I used the long vowel games last year and my students LOVED it & asked to play over and over. This was a tough group, too, to it was extra rewarding.
