PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

I write CVC words on notecards and place them in a bucket. During a center activity, the children take a card from the bucket, write the word on the CVC worksheet (attached) and draw a picture of the word. I use this to see that the children can read the word successfully...if they can draw an accurate picture, they read the word correctly. You can use this for CVCe words too! I make sure that the words can easily be translated into a picture.

Product Questions & Answers

On  December 1, 2011Scipi (TpT Seller) asked:
I saw your posting on the Sellers Forum; so, I thought I would look at your freebie. I left you a rating. Well done! I have a couple of suggestions that might help you to better market this product. First, create a cover page which can then be used as an attractive thumbnail to entice buyers. You might also add a second page which is a directions or suggestions page. List several ways you use this product in your classroom. Never assume that a buyer knows how, why, or when to use your product.

I’d appreciate your input on my freebie listed below.

I am now your 8th follower, and hope you will reciprocate at my store as well. http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/SciPi/Products

Good luck as you sell on TPT!

Hi Becky! I downloaded your CVC Word Work freebie and here are some suggestions. When I first started selling on TpT about 2 1/2 years ago, I uploaded some products in Word and had buyers tell me that the margins were all off. They had to redo the margins in order to use the lessons with their kids. It's best to turn your Word documents into PDF files so that the margins are fixed. That way you won't have buyers complain. This is usually a question new TpT teachers ask in the Sellers' Forum and we all suggest that it's best to use PDF.
I also suggest that you put your copyright information and your TpT store URL on every page at the bottom. Do that for free and priced products. That way if a teacher shares it with another teacher he or she will know how to find your products just by clicking on your store site With most of my products that I've posted, I also have a colorful title page that attracts buyers.I didn't do this with the first products that I posted here and you'll see that if you browse through my products. There are so many products on TpT that we have to have a way of making our products marketable. On the cover I list exactly what's in the product. That way a buyer can view the thumbnail and know what they're getting if they purchase it. That goes for the product description too. :) When I have people buy a lot of one of my products, I edit my product description with something like "BEST SELLER" or "MY MOST POPULAR PRODUCT". Then I describe what it is. Your CVC freebie is a great idea. What I would do is to put the definition of what a CVC word is in a box at the top or something to make it stand out. I'm writing this note to you in the "Ask A Question" area so that it's not in your rating comments for everyone to see. I'll rate two of your freebies for you so that you have a strong 4.0 rating. Have you seen Rachel Lynette's pricing guide? She put together a chart that shows how much we should be charging customers. It's a handy guide and you can get it from your Dashboard area on the right hand side. I use it as a guide of how to price my products.

Hope these suggestions are helpful. Check out my profile and you'll get an idea of who I am LOL!! You'll also see me listed as #85 of top sales last week.(There are categories to choose from at the top. You have to change it to Top Sales Last week to see me) I go up and down. One week I'm 99 the next week I'm 44. It's fun to watch the ratings. Also, don't hesitate to ask me any questions that you might have. I remember what it was like to be new here. I have 171 products now and I created a blog and I'm on Facebook in the TpT area. The way my products started to soar was when I began networking. You'll also see my name in the Seller's Forum a lot. It's Ruthesp
