Calculators are here to stay and as teachers we need to make sure that students know how to use them properly. Using a calculator to do simple computation is not proper for most students.

After many years in the classroom, I was the math coordinator for Educational Service Center Region XIII in Austin, TX. After several years at the ESC I became the K-12 math coordinator for Round Rock ISD in Texas. I regulary present at NCTM national, regional and local conferences. I have also trained over 3000 teachers in the CGI philosophy.
