This morning meeting SmartBoard/Promethean/PowerPoint activity allows for daily calendar math to take place (without taking up a lot of wall space). It also allows you to have continuous review of 16 important common core math skills. My kids enjoy playing this as a math center as well.

Thanks! Unfortunately there are so many math skills it is hard to include them all without the notebook getting very long and costing more. However the smart board notebook is completely editable. If you purchase it you can add a slide with an array very easily. :-) If you need help figuring out how, feel free to message me again!

Hi - sorry if this is a silly question, but I can't figure out how to change out the months? I am using the Smartboard notebook version. The days and numbers are on the same screen, so that is easy - sorry - new to the smartboard calendar.

I purchased the calendar math and I am using the power point version with my Team Board. The calendar is interactive ( I can change the month and add the date tags, change day of week etc.). When I add rods to the place value chart I can only add one rod and one cube. There are no extras to add. The same with the money. Also When I go to the page 10 more, 10 less and 1 more and less. I can't write on it. Does this make sense? I have a team board not promethean. (software is not as advanced)

Hi,
It sounds like you may need to copy and paste for the money and rods. Simply click on the item and select "ctrl c" to copy and"ctrl v" to paste. If you do this many times you can "stack" lots of them on top of each other and save it this way. That way next time all you have to do is drag on the items from the stack as you need them. Does that make sense?
I'm not sure what a team board is capable of, I've never heard of it before. You may need to just type into the squares for this part if you can't actually write on your board. When I used the powerpoint version, I projected onto my whiteboard, so I was able to use dry erase markers to write.

The numbers are all individual images. You can change them by going to "paint", creating new images, and adding them to the smart board file. Just open a blank document in paint and use the "ABC" tool to type the number 1-31 in any color you prefer! :) I hope this helps, please let me know if you need further instruction!

Hi. I have purchased this calendar and when I try and move the numbers on the calendar (promethean board) they go behind it instead of on it. Also, for the place value pages...do you have to draw those? When you drag one in to the correct column there are no more rods or units behind them.

It sounds like your program changed the layering priority some how. To fix it all you need to do is right click on the calendar image and click "send to back." This will put this image behind everything else on the page. For the promethean instead of dragging and dropping I had to cut and paste due to limitations with that program--I don't think promethean does "cloning" of images (If you know how to do this you could clone the blocks, but I researched a lot and couldn't find this option). Also, like you said, you could easily draw a line and dot to represent 10's and 1's instead of the rods if you prefer. This would actually save time because you wouldn't have to delete all the blocks after you finish using them each time.

When I used the Power Point, I projected mine onto the whiteboard and used an expo to write on it. If that isn't an option for you, have you tried inserting a text box? Once you insert it once, you can keep the text box there and enter new numbers each time.

Can I download it both places (in case the school computer loses/delets itetc) This is my first puchase here and I can't wait to try it out. The Powerpoint version would work with mimeo for sure. This is what I used before I had a smartboard. That file is included. As for the others, if you can usually use smart notebook files or activinspire files, then I would say it will work, but I'm not sure if those can be opened with Mimeo. :-)

Now that I am in love with the product, our "trial" of Smart Notebook has expired and I bet you can guess . . . no money to purchase. Can you please send me the Power Point version? I have been searching for something exactly like this. I teach Sp Ed and am so excited to use this with my primary kids! Everything downloaded except the skip counting page. It has a 'puzzle piece' on it where the chart should be. I updated Adobe thinking that might be the problem, but no change. Do you have any idea what I need to do?

Hm.....that is very strange! It is a smartboard application. Try this:
Open the smart notebook software with the calendar math activity. On the left side there is a picture frame with a sun and sky. Click that and under "search" type "hundreds square" That should find an "interactive and multimedia" application. Open that by clicking the arrow and double click the hundreds chart. That should insert it into the slide. I hope this makes sense! Please let me know if you need any more help.

I've never used a Mac before, so I'm not sure why it wouldn't download. Do you have the "SmartNotebook" software on your computer? Are you typically able to use .notebook files with your smartboard? I have been told by many buyers that it works great with their Activeboard (not sure if they opened it through ActivInspire). I don't no much about promethean boards, I've had dozens of people tell me with works on theirs, but a few say it doesn't. I'm not sure why it works on some and not others. I can send the powerpoint version to you, if you give me your e-mail address. It works the same as the other. :)

Hi - I am so excited about this program! One question - how do I edit colors? I love pink & green but suspect my boys will not be as thrilled about the pink. Also - can you tell me an easy way to change the 100s chart to a 120 chart? Thanks!

Thanks! My boys have never had a problem with the purple and green, but if you'd like to change the colors you would need to create new images in paint and import them into the SB editing program. It would take time but can be done. :-)

Sorry to bother you again. I had previously emailed because I bought the calendar to go with the new common core math on my Activ board. The calendar will download, but won't allow me to edit. I asked our technology dept. and they said it was a PDF file and that was why I couldn't edit. Do you have a way to change it to another format??

The Calendar math is not a .PDF. The Manual to go with the smartboard program is a .pdf though. When you unzipped the file did you see two different files?? Please try downloading it again and see if you end up with two documents. :-)

This file actually uses Times New Roman, which should be pretty standard. It is weird that it is all over the place for you, I haven't heard of this problem from anyone else. Maybe try going back to your purchases and try downloading/unzipping the file again. It might have gotten messed up some how during the unzipping?

The file is "zipped" do you have a program to "unzip" files (such as winzip)? If not, try downloading one and using it to unzip the file. Please let me know if this works!

I really have no idea why this would be the case because I have never used an activ board before. I have known several other people who purchased this for their active board and no one has mentioned any trouble. I wish I could be more help. You may be able to call the activ board troubleshooting line to see if they can help? I've done that with a smart board notebook before and it worked!

I have been told by other buyers that it is, but I have not tried it myself. I have a free smartboard activity, you could see if that works. If it does than this will as well. If it doesn't you canto try downloading the SB notebook software. :-) I have one for powerpoint also if you are interested! :-) I have

It is for first and second grade. Due to the editable nature it can be used with number 1-120 for first grade and 1-1000 for upper grades, the time can be used to the hour, half hour, or minute (depending on grade), etc. I included that page to meet the standards for 2nd grade; however, I do use the money slide with my first graders maybe once a week. They love it because it makes them feel like they are learning "big kid stuff." If it is not something you want you use you can delete that slide, just skip over it, or even wait and use it at the end of the year. :-)

The smartboard program is 100% editable to meet your needs. All you have to do is delete the background and add in your own. You can even add or change slides if needed. :-) Only thing you can't do is share the file with others or sell it as your own. :-) If you don't know how to change the background, let me know and I can walk you through it.
