This is a packet of fact-file sheets for the animals mentioned and encountered in the book, "Call it Courage", by Armstrong Sperry. I use this packet as a long-term project for students to work on when they are finished with regular classwork. They get to decide how many to complete and they get to research in order to find information using books and/or the Internet.
They love this packet and see it as a "challenge" to get as many done as possible! A great way to learn how to categorize notes and to differentiate!

I have taught for 16 years in a large, urban, public school district (I have taught in three different schools) and I LOVE it! I taught self-contained, multi-age gifted class for past seven years. Prior to this assignment, I taught regular ed 4th and 5th grades. I am now in an at-risk school teaching 5th grade! I am so lucky to have such great students, past and present!
