This is a really cute activity that helps students understand the importance of animal camouflaging. Students are given a butterfly to decorate in such a way that it can be hidden in the classroom. The rules are that the butterfly cannot be hiding behind anything, it has to be out in the open, but its coloring, or camouflage, disguise it from being easily seen. This is a two page download including student instructional page with butterfly and poster for bulletin board display.
