Learn about America's neighbor to the north--Canada!
This is a complete unit for teaching about Canada. "Canada: Our Neighbor to the North" is a 10-page packet that can be used as a "textbook chapter" when teaching about Canada. In the packet, your students will learn about the land, water, climate, products, natural resources, landmarks, government, money, and culture of Canada. Also included is an Anticipation Guide is to be used as they read the "Canada: Our Neighbor to the North" packet to guide their reading, a 30 question quiz with an answer key, and a fun "scrapbook" activity with a grading rubric.
While these materials were written to correspond to Florida's Next Generation Sunshine State Standards for 3rd grade Social Studies when I couldn't find anything else appropriate for my students, "Canada: Our Neighbor to the North" is also perfect for 4th, 5th, or 6th graders studying the countries of North America.
