These two worksheets explore the ways in which candy - Hershey's bars and M&Ms - can be used to teach fractions. In the Hershey bar fractions sheet, students use a small piece of brown construction paper and fold it like a Hershey bar (in twelfths). Then, students divide their bar by cutting it, write the fraction, and attach the "candy bar" paper to the worksheet. On the other worksheet, students investigate the contents of a small bag of M&Ms.
These worksheets teach about fractions and can be used to practice writing, graphing, and critical thinking.
