These cards include 5 game sets to target articulation of common error sounds in the game CandyLand. The card games are broken into different game sets. These include (1) S blends, (2) vocalic /r/, (3) /k/, /g/ and /f/ (4) /s/ /z/ and /l/ and (5) /sh/ /ch/ and /th/. I tried to group them into developmental levels based on my own students. You can mix and match the games as needed.
The cards contain look a like cards with either one square or two containing a target sound in single words. You can increase the complexity of the task by using sentences as appropriate. They also include the 6 special cards. The document is 50 pages in length
UPDATED 5/12/13: The download now includes pictures for each stimulus item. If you already purchased, please re-download!
I played this twice this week in therapy and both times it was a HUGE hit! I don't think the kids even realized that they were practicing their good sounds they were so excited to play! I am finishing up my Grad school program and my externship supervisor was really impressed that I found such a great activity for therapy. Of course, I gave you all of the credit! Thank you for your blog and therapy materials. They have made being a new SLP so much easier!

I am a school based SLP, and I love this product! The kids love it too. Please keep adding to your Candy Land themed games. I have several of them, and I appreciate you taking all the design work out of creating new engaging games.

I love all of the Candy Land games! These present a bit of a challenge for some of my students who are still learning to read, but overall, a great activity!
I am SO excited to use these in my speech centers!

Great way to incorporate speech goals in with a favorite kids game! I bought the fluency and language cards too so it's great to mix them all in for group therapy sessions! Thanks!

Thank you again! This is so cute and my speech kiddos are sure to love it!
I love how this set is so adaptable. The kids love to play candyland and it is nice not to need two sets of cards anymore!

I really had to recruit some help with all the cutting for this one, but was able to get some 4th graders to help. Their teacher used it as a reward - if they got certain work done in the classroom, they got to help cut out the cards! HA!! I LOVE that helping me was their reward. Anyway, everyone LOVES Candyland - even the older students. I was VERY tired of using the same old picture cards with it. LOVE having a new twist to an old favorite.

overall great activity - my students really enjoy using these cards. It is a lot of cutting out and laminating - so have time to get it ready - but it is worth it!

nice game, candy icons dont all match the game board. I wish there were pictures for the words so younger players could "read" them rather than repeat. But overall good

Hi, Jenna. LOVE your products!! I was wondering if these (and most of your other products) could be printed in black and white and colored to save ink. Or are they only in color? Thanks!! - Wendy
Hi Wendy! Well, I don't make them in black and white because the graphics don't come that way. It would certainly be possible for you to select tht setting on your printer and print in BW yourself!

Hi Jenna! Do your candyland artic and phono cards have pictures on them or just words? Thanks so much!
Hello, Right now the download doesn't come with blank cards. I'm planning a huge update (underway) that adds pictures and will include blanks in that. Please stay tuned!

Hey Jenna,
I'm gonna buy this but I have alot of ELL students and wish it had pictures. The phonology candyland looks too young for them.
I've heard from many people that they wish the articulation version had pictures! Believe me - I hear ya! I have it on my list of things to update, but it likely won't happen until spring or summer - I have so many things on that to-do list! I use it with my 'readers' and even if they struggle, it's good for them to work on decoding those words!

Hi Jenna! I am wondering how you make all these amazing products if you are working in the field, too??!?! How do you have the time?? I am very grateful for your efforts to make the materials so cute, colorful and engaging. I love how I can gear them toward themes--something that is really hard for me to get together year after year--I always say, "this is the year to get my themes in order." Uh, not. lol. Anyway, thanks so much! Julie Gattarello
Hi Julie! Well I usually work on them one weeknight. I make them in powerpoint and I'm quick! I'm so glad you are finding them useful! LEt me know if there are any themes you think would be a hit!
Jenna
Hey! None of the artic cards have images. They are all words (I made this one to work with my elementary kids). The Phonology cards are ALL with images - I made that one to work with preschool. I am planning to make an early sounds or apraxia version with earlier sounds that will include pics.

Hi! My copy of the articulation version is actually printing out two sets of yellow, instead of yellow and orange. (purple, blue, green and red print out fine) Do you think it's my download? With the phonology set, I did not have this problem (using the same computer and printer). Thanks!
Yes! The game is 50 pages in length. You could choose to only laminate the sounds you need, which would not require you to print or laminate all the pages.
I am a grad. student and LOVE your things! I am working with a kiddo who is targeting bilabials and if you ever consider making more candy land cards I would LOVE bilabials : ) Never mind, I just saw your phonology set with /p/, /b/ and /m/. It's just what I need!! Thanks!!!
