Fixing Problem Answers - Cards Around The Room Activity
This activity gets students up and moving as they look for and solve questions posted on cards around the room. Each student is given his/her own worksheet with answers and must match the question and answer to solve two math riddles.
What are problem answers?
Sometimes when you add mixed numbers the result is a mixed number with an unsimplified fractional part. You then need to fix this "problem" answer into a mixed number with a simplified fractional part.

I am a certified Math/Science teacher. I started teaching in the NC public school system for 4 years, followed by 4 years of private school education in PR. When my son was born I "retired" from teaching and started a math tutoring business in my home so I could be with him during the daytime. 17 months later we welcomed boy/girl twins and so I'm a full-time mom and part-time worksheet creater.
