PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This product is a lab designed for the 5 catapult set of Catapults that launch foam cats. I can no longer find these toys anywhere which is why this activity is now free. If you can find them, they are so much fun! You need one catapult per group. If you do the bonus at the end, each group will need 8 - 10 of them but you can round robin the activity to use what you have.

The catapults have two levers: orange = force and has five settings, green = angle and has five settings. Students investigate the effect of force and angle on vertical and horizontal throw distances and graph their data. This is a fun lab and the toys are remarkably consistent.

Keywords: physics, inertia, Newton, first, second, third, force, projectile, catapult, vertical component, horizontal component, gravity, potential energy, kinetic energy, speed, velocity, friction, projectile motion, freefall, horizontal and vertical component, challenge.

Can you please tell me where you can purchase the cat-a-pult sets? I have used these in my 4th grade classroom for several years, and the cats are starting to lose their heads! :) My email address is dhenggeler@nen.k12.mo.us Thank you so much for your help!

I am sad to say that I can't find these anywhere anymore. Hands On Toys, where I originally ordered them, doesn't even have a web site or anything. I am so sad!
