The title of this book says it all! In Catwings Return, author Ursula LeGuin reunites the four flying kittens she introduced in her original book Catwings. Their new adventures take them back to London where they meet a fifth sibling. Eager readers will find out what happens when the older kittens take her �under their wings�, so to speak.
This second of the four books in the Catwings series contains five chapters. This unit provides one page of comprehension questions after each chapter which assess the reader�s recall of facts and events. In addition, a second worksheet per chapter requires the student to dip a little deeper into the story. After one chapter, for example, students must list the pros and cons of a decision the kittens make and use that list to decide what they would do in the same situation. Another worksheet requires the reader to recall events in order, and assign an emotion the character might have felt to each event. These secondary work-sheets can also be used as prompts for guided discussions of the book�s main themes. You and your students will profit from the use of this unit! An answer key is included with this download.
