Theme: July 4th, America's Indepedence Day
Celebrate America's Independence from Great Britian with literacy activities and art.
Students will learn about the colors and symbols of the American flag along with their meaning. They'll then have fun being creative by designing their own flag.
For literacy, students will learn vocabulary words that revolve around July 4th and Independence through a matching game. They will also have the opportunity to be creative and show what they feel about America through an acrostic poem.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Subject Area:
I've taught 14 years teaching grades 3-5 and Early Intervention Program in Public School. I currently teach 3rd grade and am also working part time for my state's Department of Education...specifically projects that involve the new Common Core Curriculum. My love of technology never ceases! I am the blog administrator for my school and also maintain our school's Facebook page as well.
