This is a worksheet on cell organelles and their functions. There are 45 questions set up in a matching format. All questions deal with either the structure of the organelle or the functions of the organelles. Students will choose from a word bank of 21 organelles. The word bank includes: cell membrane, cell wall, central vacuole, centriole, chloroplast, chromoplast, chromosomes, cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, golgi apparatus, leukoplast, lysosome, mitochondria, nuclear membrane, nucleolus, nucleoplasm, nucleus, ribosomes, rough ER, smooth ER and vacuole.
This was prepared for my Biology I class. I use this for a homework assignment, but it would make a great quiz or test review. The questions do require a little more thought than just \"what is the function of this part?\" For example: One question asks the student to give all parts that are enclosed by a double membrane. Another asks for all parts that would be found in both plant and animal cells.
Answers are included. You will receive two copies of the worksheet: one in pdf format and the other in a Word document so that you can make changes if you like.
Ask Science Stuff a question. They will receive an automated email and will return to answer you as soon as possible.
