This is one lesson on character education. It teaches the trait of responsibility with at least 10 different activities. Some of the activities can be used with the story book Alia's Mission: Saving the Books of Iraq which aims to tell a story about responsibility. Now you will have specific questions and activities related to that book as well as other activities related solely to the character trait itself.

This is one of twenty lessons for sale. The primary focus of all the lessons are on character education. The twenty different lessons feature character education for citizenship, cooperation, honesty, kindness, perseverance, respect, responsibility, self control, and tolerance. Every single lesson contains activities and content applicable for students from kindergarten through high school. Furthermore, in addition to instructing character education, 100% of the twenty lessons include academic work in reading, language arts and social studies. Some of the lessons will also connect to math and science.

Every lesson begins by connecting its trait to a secondary trait. Next, the lesson suggests a story book to read that exemplifies the character trait. Each lesson asks specific questions correlating to the book that not only key in on the character trait but also include a variety of standardized benchmark questions for reading (compare/contrast, story elements, cause/effect, etc). Then every lesson includes extension questions that allow students to make personal connection to the character trait. Finally, there are many other activities for students in all grades covered in all academic areas.

The lessons are beneficial to a wide variety of people and groups. First, teachers are required to teach character education, but they do not receive any lessons to use. In addition, it is very difficult to find time to teach character education during a school day. These lessons provide teachers with already- created lessons with a plethora of activities ready to be implemented. Better yet, the character education lessons are infused into all academic areas. Second, these lessons are useful for anyone who has a child. Parents enjoy to read their children books with a message, but this book allows parents to really key in on the character education messages. Third, these lessons would be an incredible asset to any religious school.

Do you mean the books that the lesson goes with? if that is what you mean then you can check them out at a library, buy them at a book store, or purchase them cheaply on the internet via sites like amazon, half.com, or ebay.

Now I also have my own workbooks that sell in case you were asking about those.

Best of luck!
