This Common Core Based Interactive Whiteboard Lesson helps students engage in the storytelling process by manipulating characters in settings, and then recording their story using Mimio Recorder. Mimio Recorder creates a screencast of the story, which can later be viewed by other students in the class.
Hi, sorry about that. I really wish the interactive whiteboard programs were more compatible. If you email me at kchstar@yahoo.com, I will send you a PowerPoint version of the file. You can either use it as is, or import the slides to Smartboard Notebook.

Couldn't open this bc I have SMART Notebook software
Hi, I am so sorry you are having trouble opening this. If you email me at kchstar@yahoo.com I will email you with a PowerPoint version of the file. You can either import the slides to Smartboard Notebook, or just use it in PowerPoint. Again, so sorry you had trouble opening this file.
Hi, I'm so sorry this won't work with your Smartboard. I am trying to figure out a solution and will send an update to all buyers if/when it works. In the meantime, If you send me your email address at kchstar@yahoo.com, I will send you the PowerPoint version of this lesson. I'm sorry again.
Hi, I hope you saw my last response below from October 23rd. You will need Mimio Notebook to open this file. If you don't have access to this program, please email me at kchstar@yahoo.com and I will send you a PowerPoint version that you can import to another whiteboard program. Again, I am so sorry you are having difficulty with this.

I was really excited about this program, but find I cannot open it. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Hi, I'm so sorry you are having trouble. Do you have a Mimio or another type of Interactive Whiteboard? Also, is there an error message when you are trying to open the file? This will help me figure out what could be wrong.
In the meantime if you need this lesson right away, please email me at kchstar@yahoo.com and I will send you a PowerPoint version of the lesson that you can use.

I can't open it either. I just saw your note about making sure you have the program to open it. Oops! I saw it was for SmartBoards and I have Notebook that I use on my SmartBoard. I can't get it to work. Is there something else I should be trying? Or can I get it as a powerpoint also? Thanks so much!
Hi, I'm so sorry you are having difficulties also. I have searched the internet and can't find another solution so will definitely send you the PowerPoint. My email address is kchstar@yahoo.com. If you email me, I will send the file to your email address.
I do have a friend who works at a school with Smartboards. When I get a chance to visit with her, I will look into this further. If I have any additional updates on how to convert the file, I will send them to you. I really hope it works out. My class loved this lesson, so hopefully yours will too :)

Sorry, I couldn't open it or save it as another file type. I do have PowerPoint, though. If you want to send it as a pdf or word document, that would work, too.
Hi, I am working on it now. My email address is kchstar@yahoo.com. Can you send me a quick email so I have your email address to send the file? Thanks :)

Help! I can't download or convert mimeo. Do you have this in another version?
Hi, unfortunately I don't have Smartboard or Promethean software. Here is a suggestion for you to try. If that doesn't work, please let me know and I will creat a PowerPoint of the file for you to use. I hope it works for you, as it really is a cute lesson. My students used it last week and loved it! Please let me know either way :)
Note: This file is for saving a Smartboard file to use with Mimio, but it should still work to save a mimio file as a different version.

I have a promethean board with activinspire software. I have tried downloading this and saving it several different times and ways and it will not open! Help please!
Hi, I am so sorry you are having trouble with this. I found this tutorial which explains how to convert from Smartboard to Mimio. I think if you try this same process with the Mimio Notebook file (opening it with ActiveInspire), it will hopefully work. I just recently switched from Smartboard to Mimio, and when I tried this it worked for me with most of my files. Some files do contain "Smartboard" or "Mimio" specific content, which doesn't transfer very easily.
If this doesn't work, please let me know and I can either convert this to a PowerPoint Presentation for you, or I will email TeachersPayTeachers to help you see how to get your money back for this product. Again, I am so sorry you are having difficulties and hope you are able to get this file working in time for your lesson!
I have taught public school in Florida for the last 4 years, both 1st grade and 2nd grade. Prior to that, I taught a K-2 class at a private school in Gainesville, Fl for 3 years.
