Mini Lesson: Characters Have Feelings
Appropriate Grade Levels: K-5
When children speak about characters, their language is often vague. When they describe how a character is feeling, they use non-specific words like "good" or "bad" or "okay." More precise words help readers delve deeper into the meaning layered into a story. In this mini lesson, students will begin to collect words that describe the wide array of feelings that a character may feel at any given moment.
